Survey and compilation materials of the Transvaal Manoeuvre Area in central southern Transvaal. Four tracings as follows: > Plan I, 'Koster Redoubt', topographical map, scale 1:2,400, signed Captain S.T. Cargill R.E. > Plan II, 'Koster Redoubt', plan of fort, scale 1:360, with cross-section, signed Captain S.T. Cargill R.E. > Plan III, 'Sketch Map of Koster', topographical map depicting the town and surrounding area within a 3-mile radius, scale 1:63,360, signed Captain S.T. Cargill R.E. > Map No. IV, 'White Position at Koster 6th August 1910', annotated field sketch drawn from the 'White Position' approximately 1 mile south of Koster, looking north. The topographical maps portray hydrology, relief by form lines, roads and tracks, railways, settlements, isolated buildings and place names; Plan II also depicts military installations and the positions of 'attacking' forces.
